From Panruti, you can reach Puthupettai on the Thiruvenainallur – Tirukovilur road, take the street where the Kasi Vishwanathar temple is located, and turn left to reach the Chittavadamadam temple at the edge of the road. The Temple Gopuram is in a state of ruins. Needs Urgent Attention. Sundarar Sang on this deity.

Puranic Significance

When Sundarar Slept an old man slept with his feet on Sunderar. When Sunderar Objected and changed the direction yet the old man’s feet touched him. This enraged Sunderar questioned why the old man kept kicking him. At this Lord Siva who came as the old man asked Sunderar do for not recoginise me and disappeared . At this Sunderar realized his bluder and song who would not know Lord Siva.
