Introduction

                            Kumarapuram Guruparameshwarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Kumarapuram village, Cuddalore circle, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. This Kumarapuram village is located on the highway leading to Nellikuppam in Cuddalore. Here is a Shiva temple facing east side. The primary deity is called as Guruparameshwarar in the form of Lingam. The Lingamurthy, which has been under a huge royal tree for many years, now has a beautiful small temple. Lord has a majestic east-facing Sanctum and a long beautiful hall in front has Nandi and altars. At the sanctum sanctorum gate there are two guards. Here the primary deity is called as Guruparameshwarar. There is a huge royal tree standing next to this temple. Under it, a Ganesha and two Nagas are in the lofts. There is also some stone statue which was worshiped at that time. In the north-east there are Navagrahas in a beautiful hall. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
