Introduction

Sathangudi is located 5 km north of Thiruvallaputhur on the Manalmedu-Vaitheeswaran Temple Road and on the way to Kurichi. Sathangudi is a town donated to the poets. Sculpture says there are three ways to set up a shrine to the goddess in Shiva temples. It is a common thing to dedicate the Goddess to the south in the Maha Mandapam. This is called the Veerasakthi system. In some temples, the junction is to the right of the Swami and in some temples to the left, with the Swami and the Goddess facing the same direction. The one on the right is called the Kalyana Kolam and the one on the left is called the Arthanarisvara system. In some temples, the Lord is said to be face to face with the Ananda Kolam. It is common in Shiva temples for the idol of the source to be black. Rarely do some temples have an emerald lingam or a coral lingam. But the drink has a very wonderful texture that is found in the honey color known as ‘Matuvarnam’.Yes. The lingam with such a drink is blessed by Lord Sathangudi in the name of Viswanatha Swami in the temple of Sathangudi. # “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K. Vijayan, these are extracted from his posts”.

Puranic Significance

Here it is special that the Lord and the Goddess bless with one face towards the east, this is called the Arthanarisvara system because the Lord is on the left side of the Lord. The Kayilasanathar Sannidhi is special between the Lord and the Sannidhi. In the east, the sun is four feet high, with four arms and a single stone statue of Thiruvatsi. What used to be a thousand specialties is now a temple invisible to the people and the servants. All but one or two families have been evicted from the Brahmin settlement for two hundred years Kandamani, who had raised the village for the six-day puja, became mute. This is the trick made by modern entertainment devices. A magnificent temple begins to turn into stone and mud as before. The house of the Lord is made of granite, with a planed plane on top of it. Ambika’s plane has the form of a vesara. There is only the God of the South in that great realm …. There is no one to pump water for the wedding well in front of Ambika. In front of the Lord is the Great Hall with pillars that can withstand cracked stones. Scattered ebony stones. In the midst of all this, it is admirable that a priest couple is worshiping it twice, because of the good cooperation of the priest and his wife to work with full commitment, otherwise there would be no Shiva in this temple. His house is near the entrance of the temple.
