Introduction

Siddeshwara temple is just 3 km from Thirthahlli town towards Agumbe road near Balebail village. Roads are well maintained till the foot of mountain and one has to trek all the way up to reach the temple. Siddeshwara gudda is a small hill top formed completely by rocks is a scenic place located in Thirthahalli taluk. Siddeshwara Gudda got its name after Lord Siddeshawara temple on the top of the hill. Here the primary deity is lord Siddeshawara (Shiva), No other deity. The village people will conduct yearly once poojas for the temple, the nandi is placed outside the temple. There is also a small pond at the top of the hills which has no record of draining out. A stone on the hill is said to be growing in its size is one more attraction of Siddeshwara gudda. There is also an abandoned cave besides the temple. Siddeshwara gudda is about 200 meters height, the temple is bad shape.
