Introduction
Velagudi Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Velagudi village, Valangaiman circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Velagudi is a small village, where there is an Iyanar temple towards the east on its bank, this temple is in a dilapidated state, and the same temple has a beautiful lingam in the open space and a Nandi in front of it. A slightly decayed Bhairav is kept in the temple. Only Vinayagar is inside the sanctum sanctorum, while the Sundesars are on either side of the sun. Not any history found in the temple, but there is one thing that has to do, have to make this place like a temple for the Lord, and Nitya Pujas should be done properly. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
