Introduction
Swayambu Narasimhar Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Veerapandi Town in Coimbatore North Taluk in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu, India. This Temple is considered as one of the famous Narasimhar Temples in Kongu region. The Temple is located at about 23 Kms from Coimbatore Junction Railway Station and 24 Kms from Coimbatore Airport. The Temple is situated adjacent to the Veerapandi Narasimhar Temple Bus Stop. The Temple is situated on Coimbatore to Mettupalayam road.
Puranic Significance
It is said that Lord appeared in the dream of a devotee and informed about his divine presence in a well of his place. Later, a temple was built to enshrine the Swayambhu Moorthy. This Temple is facing towards east with three tiered rajagopuram. There is a four pillared mandapa in front of the rajagopuram. Deepa sthamba can be seen in front of the rajagopuram. The temple consists of sanctum, ardha mandapam and maha mandapam. A mandapa connects the rajagopuram with the maha mandapa. Balipeedam, Dhwaja Sthambam and Garuda can be found in this mandapa, facing towards the sanctum. The sanctum enshrines the presiding deity, Swaymbhu Narasimhar. Lord is a Swayambhu Moorthy. Only head is visible rest are not seen. There are shrines for Prahalada, Lakshmi, Dhanvatri, Azhwars, Andal, Chakrathalvar and Yoga Narasimhar in the temple premises. Sthala Vriksham is Vanni tree. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.

It is believed that those who worship at this temple will be cured of all diseases and blessed with peace & prosperity.
Festivals
Narasimha Jayanthi, Pradosha,Vaikunta Ekadasi, Thirumanjanam, Aadi Perukku, Swathi Nakshatram and Sudarshana Narasimha Homam are the festivals celebrated here.
