Formerly a large Shiva temple, Sthalam is now home to Ganesha alone, the Sandesar serpent, the half-broken Bhairavar, and the Navagrahas into a small compound with separate shrines. His current location is in a long drive shed.

Puranic Significance

The Ganesha shrine faces the pond on the east side and to his left is the Kuberalinga Murthy facing east side, with the Nandi and the altar in front of him. There are Navagraha in the northeast. The facial features of the Navagrahas are so large that they cannot be seen in other places. It is a belief that not only will those who worship this Kubera Ilingam get wealth, but those who give meaning to the worship and return of this Lingamurti, even if they add wealth in an improper way, will get rid of sins. People come and go in groups on special days. # “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K. Vijayan, these are extracted from his posts”.
