Introduction
A Small village, named Un, lies in west Nimar district of Madhya Pradesh. It was an important Jain centre. A large number of Brahmanical and Jain Temple were erected here. One of them is Chaubara dera temple. This temple is in dilapidated condition and it has lost its original name. But a ruin of the temple indicates that once it was a great temple. One of the dominant features of this temple is the stellate plan of the vimana, internally, the garbhagrha is square, but externally the plan of the vimana is stellate. It consists of large pillared hall, a shrine, and an elaborately carved porch. Small porches are seen on the sides. It is believed that this temple was built in 11th Century CE.
