Introduction
Ukkamperumbakkam Nakshatra Virtsavinayakar Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, located in the Ukkamperumbakkam village, Cheyyar circle, Thiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu. On the Kanchipuram-Vandavasi highway, this temple is situated on the banks of Koomanthal Lake, south of Ukkamperumbakkam village. In the temple there are separate shrines like Nakshatra Virtsavinayagar, Rudratsalingeswarar, Vallidevasena samedha sivasubramaniyar, Saneeswara bhagavan, Rahuketu and 27 star gods. Also outside the temple there are 27 star trees and 12 zodiac signs are presented in the temple. The Temple is believed to be 500 years old.
