Try chanting this two-syllable mantra in this way, and no karma or disease will ever touch you!

In this world, every mantra has its own unique powers. When we chant mantras while seated in true meditation, we directly receive the associated benefits.

There is a significant difference between chanting ordinary mantras and chanting the divine names of God as mantras.

For example, when we chant the eight-syllable mantra of Lord Vishnu, “Om Namo Narayanaya,” or the five-syllable mantra of Lord Shiva, “Sivaya Nama,” we unknowingly attract special powers.

Try reciting them in a meditative state, and their effects will be truly remarkable. Similarly, the benefits of chanting this two-syllable mantra are beyond description.

This mantra represents the Pranava (primordial sound) of the universe. The Pranava mantra, “Om,” is said to be the force that moves everything in the world.

Scientifically, researchers have recently claimed to hear the sound “Om” coming from the sun. Imagine how significant this is! There are specific guidelines on how to pronounce the Pranava mantra “Om.”

Those who chant it correctly are shielded from all kinds of karmic effects. As soon as we are born as humans, we carry the weight of our karmic actions with us.

The power to rectify this karma lies in the two-syllable mantra. However, you must prepare yourself properly to chant it.

When you chant “Om,” you can feel its vibrations flowing throughout your body. Start with “O” and end with “M,” but don’t stop it abruptly. Let the “M” sound naturally fade away.

Choose a prayer room or a place that is convenient for you and sit in a meditative state. If possible, sitting in the Padmasana (lotus pose) will bring greater benefits. If you meditate for just 10 minutes daily in the lotus pose, you’ll experience immense benefits.

When you chant the Pranava mantra “Om,” its vibrations spread throughout the body and increase your positive thoughts.

To perform Padmasana, place your right foot on your left thigh, and your left foot on your right thigh, with your spine straight. Keep your hands in a meditative position.

Next, spend 10 minutes clearing your mind of all distractions and focus entirely. Then chant “Om” for as long as you comfortably can.

You will notice changes in your mind as you chant. “Om” is not just for the Tamil god Murugan; it originates from the supreme energy itself. Without “Om,” no living being can exist.

This glorious Pranava mantra, “Om,” should be chanted by everyone for at least 10 minutes daily while seated in the lotus pose.
