Introduction

                Thiyagarajapuram Amirthalingeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Thiyagarajapuram village, Budalur circle, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. Rajapuram is a small town located in Katchamangalam municipality. About 15 kilometres east is a tributary of the Kaveri River, Kachamangalam. On one side of the canal is Kachamangalam and on the other side              Thiyagarajapuram.Under a tree next to the road is Lord Ganesha in a beautiful loft, nearby in a shed with a huge lingam idol called Amirthalingeswarar. Nandi is placed in front of the Lord. The Temple lingam is believed to be 1000 years old. Under a nearby tree, there is a statue of a Jain.
