Introduction

Puranic Significance
Brahmma the creator too had five heads as Lord Shiva. He became too proud of this convenience. It so happened thatMother Parvathi once extended all the respect to Him mistaking Him as Lord Shiva which Brahmma accepted without pointing out the error to Parvathi. Realizing the mistake, Mother Parvathi reported the matter to Lord Shiva. Lord sent His deputy Vairava to pick off one head of Brahmma. Lord Vairavais gracing the devotees from this temple.
