Introduction

                              Kailasanathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Rajasingamangalam in Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Kailasanathar and Mother is called as Soundara Nayagi. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old. The Temple is located at about 100 meters from R S Mangalam Bus Stand, 22 Kms from Thiruvadanai, 35 Kms from Ramanathapuram, 36 Kms from Ramanathapuram Railway Station, 37 Kms from Paramakudi, 99 Kms from Madurai and 105 Kms from Madurai Airport. The Temple is situated on Thiruvadanai to Devipattinam Route.

The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns sung by Appar had a mention about this Temple.
