Puliyancheri is a village located on the banks of the river. There is a big pond and four streets in the village. In this small village, Kailasanatha Temple and Vishwanath Temple are located near each other. This is the best that cannot be found in any village.
It was built about 500 years ago by the Sankaraiyar family who lived in the nearby village of Vikrapandiam. As long as the heirs of the Shankaraya family were in existence, arrangements were made for the eternal worship and festival in the temple. In 1970, viswanathaswamy also consecrated the temple. After that the temple was taken over by the Hindu Charities Department. This Shiva temple may have been in big temple at one time. Now the temple is in dilapidated condition.
