Puranic Significance
The Kailashanathar temple was renovated by the villagers about 500 years ago. Here there were shrines of Vinayagar, Murugan and Kailasanatha. The trees were overgrown and the temple structure in poor condition without any proper maintenance. It was completely dilapidated and crumbling. Due to this, the villagers gathered together, set up a tin shed and worshiped all the deities in it. Currently, the construction work of Kailashanathar temple has been completed and the entire temple has been completed.
The East facing temple, the front arch is huge and the Lord is towards the east and Ambigai is towards the south. Nandi Mandapam is located in separate Mandapam in front of the Lord. Although the temple is newly built, it is set up like an ancient structure. Tenmukgan is in Kostham. There is Durga in the north side. Vinayagar and Murugan are located in the Prakara temples. Sundaesar sanctum is also beautifully designed.
