Introduction
Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple is dedicated to God Vishnu located in a calm village, Puli Kundram. This is located about 8 kms from Thirukazhukundram of Kanchipuram District. The presiding deity is called as Lakshmi Narayana perumal. Pulikundram is a village located at a distance of 2.9 kilometers (1.8 mi) from Thirukazhukundram, an ancient town in Kanchipuram district of the South Indian state of Tamilnadu.
Puranic Significance
The Lakshmi Narayana temple was built between 1509 AD to 1529 AD during the reign of Krishnadevaraya Rayar of Vijayanagar kingdom. The temple, though small, has all the deities. Everything is well maintained, clean and all the poojas are performed every day without fail by the priest. The Lord Lakshmi Narayana showers his blessings on his worshipers, with every wealth, especially for married couples who are longing for the wealth of children.
