Introduction

Neduncheri Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Neduncheri village, Nannilam Circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Neduncherimeans long standing town and is called Neduncheri. For many years there was a 5 feet high Shivalinga on the side of the road. Elsewhere there is a two feet high Shiva lingam. Even the locals do not know what the temple is and where it is. The Temple lingam is believed to be more than 1000 years old.

Coimbatore Aran Pani Foundation lifted the lingamurthi by crane and worshiped it on 05.03.2023 by naming it Lord Alageeswarar. For that, a major roof repair work has also been done. Villagers also enjoy daily lighting and monthly festivals.
