Introduction

Nashik Sri Karthik Swami Mandir is dedicated to Lord Murugan. This temple is located on the banks of river Godavari and surrounded by groups of shrines near Panchavati, Nashik, and Maharashtra. In North Side most of the name of lord Dandayuthapani is known as Karthik Swami (Murugan). This temple is also known as Karthik Swami Temple. Shri Kartik Swami Temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva’s elder son Kartikeya.

Puranic Significance

This Murugan temple was built in 1867 AD. The temple is being managed by the Sitaram Temple, which is located close to this Karthik Swami temple. The early days, Kanda Sashti Thirukarthikai Thaipusam Panguni Uttiram Vaikasi Visakam Festivals are also held in large crowds in the temple. The Murugapperuman is anointed with Godavari theertham and milk in the morning and in the evening and Deeparadhana are performed.
