Introduction
Nangudi Vishwanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Nangudi village, Kilvellur circle, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. Nangudi is a town located in Kilvellur taluka. It is located two kilometres north of Kilvellur. Small town, scenic village. Paddy farming all around. Houses on all four banks of the large pond, with the Shiva temple facing east on the eastern bank. Here the presiding deity is called as Viswanathan and Mother is called as Vishalakshi. Lord Vishwanath is facing east and Ambika is facing south. Other deities are Vinayaka and Murugan are near the gate of the sanctum sanctorum. In front hall there is Nandi and altar in front of Lord. There are no deities. There is only Sundesar. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
