Introduction

Location:

  • Mudukuthore (officially known as Thirumalakudu Bettahalli) is situated near Mysore, Karnataka, on the banks of the River Kaveri.
  • The temple is one of the five Panchalinga temples in the region, with the other temples located in Talakadu.
  • Mudukuthore is named after the river’s diversion; “Muduku” means diversion, and “Thore” means flow forward.
