Introduction

- Presiding Deity: The main deity of the temple is Aadhi Vaidyanatha Swamy, also known as Rathnapureeswarar, representing Lord Shiva. The deity is in the form of a tall Lingam. The Mother deity is known as Thaiyal Nayagi.
- Location: The temple is located approximately 5 kilometers from Vaitheeswaran Koil. It is situated along the bus route from Vaitheeswaran Koil to Manalmedu.
- Historical Significance: The temple is believed to be over 1500 years old and has historical and cultural significance. It was originally known as Pallirukkuvelur and has a history dating back to the Pallava dynasty.
- Temple Orientation: The temple is east-facing, which is a common orientation for Hindu temples.
