Introduction
Kondal Murugan Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, located in the Kondal village, Sirkazhi circle, Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu. It is known as ‘Kondalvannankudi’ as the place where Maha Vishnu worshiped the Lord Muruga. When the town was divided into two it was called as Kondal – Valluvakkudi. It is the resting place of Arunagirinath. In front hall, Kumarasubramani as the primary deity; Tarakaparameswarar is standing on the side. Murugan is the main idol. On his left is Shiva with Parvati. It is a Small Temple; Idumban shrine is facing to the south-west of the temple. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
