Here the presiding deity is called as Nitheeswarar and Mother is called as Nithya Kalyani.

Puranic Significance

The temple is said to be more than 1300 years old. Here the Lord is seated towards the east and in front of him is a Maha Mandapam. In the inner hall, Nithya kalyani is in the south-facing Sanctum. There is Tenmugan in the Karurai and opposite him is one Vinayaka and two Naga’s are there. In the north is Durgai, in front of whom a cement mandap has been drawn, and in the south-west there is a large snake and the people have erected a roof over it to worship it. At the back of the prakaram there are Vinayagar, Vallitheiwanisamedhamurugan, and Karumariyamman Anjaneyar Navagraha.

Tin sheds have been put up everywhere. Due to such unnecessary tin sheds blocking the temple structures, the gravitational waves coming from space towards the womb are not attracted completely. In the north-east, there is a shrine for Shani Bhagavan in the temple.

This temple has many features. It is a place where the ban on marriage is removed, and in other words, this is the place where the marriage between God and God took place. Those who want to get married quickly can come here and pray. If you worship the Lord in this temple for material gain, you will get benefit.
