There is a Shiva temple and a Vishnu temple in the centre of the town. The Shiva temple is on the side of the road, facing east side in the village. Here the lord Shiva is called as Arthachandrasudeswarar – The one who covered the crescent moon, and mother is called as Soundaranayaki.
The Lord has a sanctum facing east and the mother faces south, a hall connects the two sanctums. Tenmugan is the only one in Koshta and Vinayagar Murugan in his own temples in Prakaram. The temple is not well maintained, and only one time puja is done. If people who are afflicted with moon dosha worship the Lord in this temple, they can get rid of the dosha.
