Puranic Significance
“Renounce the fruits of action” was the teaching of Lord Krishna to His chosen disciple Arjuna. Sri Anjaneya began practicing these teaching millenniums earlier. He served Lord Rama without any expectations. While many seek a place in Vaikunda, the Abode of Lord Vishnu, where Narayana Name is dominant, Anjaneya preferred to stay in Earth where Rama Nama is dominant, so sweet to His heart. He only wanted endless longevity to spend his days chanting Rama Nama. A chola king built this temple on the banks of Arasalaru, a tributary to Cauvery installing Sri Vasudeva Perumal with His consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. A shrine was built for Sri Bhavya Anjaneya. The temple is in Kadagambadi also known as Sarabojirajapuram
Beliefs
Devotees pray to Anjaneya for removal of obstacles in wedding proposals, illness, stress, recovery from fall in business, for child boon, wisdom, health, bhakti, courage, fame, service to Lord and humility. Devotees pray to him on Thursdays and Saturdays placing at his feet their grievances. Devotees perform special Tirumanjanam to Anjaneya and circumambulate the shrine 11 times.
Special Features
