Introduction
Aniyamangalam Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Aniyamangalam Village in Valangaiman circle, in Thiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Lord Shiva. This old temple being completely destroyed, the new temple has risen smaller. The east facing Shiva temple is a single sanctum Shiva temple. There is no amman shrine in this temple. Ganesha and Murugan are present at the sanctum gate. There is a Nandi in front of the Lord. There are only Tenmukhan and Durgai as murtis in the sanctum sanctorum. Anjaneya is kneeling in the south-east. The reason for this is unknown, Sandesar was the oldest. In the North-East has Saturn and Navagrahas are facing west. A broken Ganesha Tirumal, and a Nandi are also present in the temple complex. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
