Amazing Benefits of Worshiping Lord Hanuman:

Hanuman’s birthday is celebrated in the Tamil month of Margazhi, on the new moon day under the Moola Nakshatra. His greatness is not only mentioned in the Ramayana but also in several other Puranas. The main reason for this is his dual significance: in Vaishnavism, he is revered as a devoted follower of Lord Rama, while in Shaivism, he is considered a form of Lord Shiva. He bestows wisdom, strength, and courage to face any difficulty.

Wherever the name “Rama” is chanted, Hanuman is surely present. His worship typically includes the chanting of Rama’s name, the application of sindoor (vermilion), and offering betel leaf garlands. Tulsi leaves are the main offering in Hanuman’s sanctuaries. In the sacred land of India, Hanuman is revered as a divine servant of Lord Rama, exemplifying his unique place in history.

By celebrating Hanuman Jayanti, all auspiciousness comes into our lives, desires are fulfilled, sorrows are removed, and happiness flourishes in the family. When worshiping Hanuman, it is customary to offer vadai malas (garlands of fritters), betel leaf garlands, and butter as offerings.

If you fast and worship Hanuman on Saturdays, all forms of blessings will come to you. On fasting days, one should maintain cleanliness and purity. If you meditate on Hanuman and eat only one meal a day, the results will be extraordinary.

If you go to the nearest Perumal (Vishnu) temple and offer a vadai mala to Hanuman, obstacles will be removed. Those who offer a betel leaf garland on an auspicious day, depending on their request, will receive numerous blessings. Offerings such as flattened rice (aval), puffed rice (pori), chickpeas, rock sugar, and bananas are traditional naivedyam (offerings) for Lord Hanuman.
