Introduction
The Pattaviruthi is a village that was given as a gift to Pattars Brahmin Priests). They may have worked at the DivyaDesa Temple in the nearby town of Adanur. There is a large Shiva temple in this town. Temple is facing east. There is a large pond in front of the temple. The facade has an entrance in a tower-like structure. In the small canopy to its left is the Ganesha, past the entrance and the long tin shed extends up to the Lord’s Mandabam. KodimaraGanesha Nandi Mandapams are in front. The Lord is facing east in the form of a large linga, and the goddess is facing south with a separate temple near the gate of the tower. In the sanctum sanctorum are Ganesha Dakshinamoorthy, Linkodpavar Brahman and Durga.
