Introduction

Between Chidambaram and Sirkali After bridge across Kollidam and reach Achalpuram on Mahendrapalli Road. Nallavinayagapuram koil is 1 KM before Achalpuram. The marriage was to take place at the Achalpuram temple. As the marriage ceremony was being performed the Lord came as Jyoti and took Ganasambandar, his wife and rest of the guests to heaven. Nalla Vinayagapuram is the place where Ganesha was worshiped before this marriage. The Shiva temple is located in front of the town. The temple is in a state of disrepair. The temple faces east and has a beautiful large pond in the square. The shrines are located in the middle of the surrounding high wall. The high teak doors with the wall are beautifully designed. The Lord faces east and ambikai faces south. Ganesha and Dantapani Kola Murugan are in the pavilions on either side of the gate.Lord small medium sized lingamurthy. Ambika has the same as him.
