It is about 10 km from Sirkazhi. It is located at a distance of about 1 km from Thiruvenkadu on the road to Ilayamuthukoodam. .There is no Raja Gopuram. The. Upon entering through the front gate, on the left are two Shivalingas named Brahmeswarar and Muniyeswarar.Next, there are the shrines of Subramanian, Bhairav and Surya. On the outer wall of the sanctum there is a sculpture of a king worshiping the Shiva lingam. The Swami Sannathi to the west and the Ambal Sannathi to the left are located in the hall. Lord Aranyeswarar of sthalam bestows blessings on SathurapeetaAuvudaiyar as a self-portrait. There is a “Tasalingam” shrine in Prakaram. Legend has it that Devendra came to this place to get rid of his guilt and sin. It is said that those who follow the Sri Brahmeswara Lingam in this temple will get the benefit of 100 AswamedhaYajnas.. The Ganesha here is very special.He is also known as Crab Ganesha because he was worshiped by Gandharvan who took the form of a crab due to a curse.
