Introduction

Between Sethiyathoppu and Vadalur is Pinnalur and 2 KM to the East of Pinnalur is Ammapuram. Lately “Ambalpuram” became “Ambapuram”.To the right of the town boundary, at the end of Pillaimar Street is the temple . The Lord Kailasanathar and Kalyanasundari shrines and the SubramaniyarGanesha sub-shrine are there .There is a temple pond here. Twenty years ago, the temple was worshiped six times and today it is locked and lies in the bush. Poojas and festivals begin to decline and stop the arrival of devotees and priests .To tell the time to the surrounding towns, the bell that rang for six times is silent today.
