Introduction
Lingapura Forest is a small Village in Piriyapatna Taluk in Mysore District of Karnataka State, India. It comes under Lingapura Forest Panchayath. It belongs to Mysore Division . It is located 85 KM towards west from District head quarters Mysore. Sri Gaddige Siddeshwara Swamy Hill Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. One needs to trek about 2km to reach the top of the hill. The place is surrounded with large trees. The temple is built by Kodava Family 70years ago. Sri Malikarjuna Swamy, Sri Parvati , Sri Veerabhadreshwara Swamy, Sri Ganapathi and Sri Siddeshwara Swamy are the five temple present at top of the hill. Sri Malikarjuna Swamy and Sri Siddeshwara Swamy idol being Udhbhava Murthy. Shivaratri Festival is celebrated. The temple is in dilapidated condition. There are three Nandi placed outside the temple which are in broken shape, with small ganapati idols. This temple is about 79km from Mysuru, located in Lingapura Forest.
