Introduction

It is on Kumbakonam Needamangalam Road about 3 KM from Marudanallur. The temple was built during the later Chola rule. Today it is in a state of disrepair. At one point Brahman became frustrated with not being able to pursue his job of creation. So this is the place where Brahman was taught wisdom.
