Introduction
Arangur – The town where Arangan is located, has a Perumal temple, a Krishna temple and a Shiva temple. Apart from this, a Pillaiyar temple Shiva temple is spread over an acre. The temples of Ganesha, Lord and Goddess are facing east. Only the Murugan Temple is differently facing west. The temple vimanam, built of black brick only. so in many places the plants are sprouting and being damaged. Directly behind the temple, to the north, is a ruined shrine like Durga. Thus it cannot be ruled out that the settlers are the only ones responsible for the destruction of the temples, implicitly each of us is the cause. Somehow we only go back to a few specific metropolitan temples, Going like this causes more congestion, health problems, traffic jams and many other problems in that village. The development of small towns is hampered by the fact that we are blind to such village temples, and the people of that village, especially the Sivacharyas and Butters, migrate abroad in search of survival. Pujas are stopped. Over time, the temple is closed and the idols are stolen. We will visit village temples in the future to help rural development. # “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K. Vijayan, these are extracted from his posts”.
