Introduction
Alangadoo is located near Pachaiperumalnallur, 7 km northeast of Sirkazhi. Puthur – Alangadoo is 3 km south of Madanam. Our Eason has a temple facing east on the bank of a large pond. The goddess has a shrine facing south. Ganesha, Murugan, Upasannatis were also present. In front of the temple, there is a small dome-like shrine of Vinayagar and the shrine of Lord Murugan. There is also a small puddle at the back of the temple. Most of the temple is in disrepair without maintenance. Everywhere tree vines sprout in this rain. The reason? The usual answer is that the minority people who worship Shiva in the temple have to leave the temple. It seems that the priest comes only for one time puja. When we went, the villagers were cleaning the temple for a hundred days. Something as red as they could. The temple has land but will not give it, where is enough money to make the repairs? Not only waterless forehead is filthy, Sivanilla is filthy filth. “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K. Vijayan, these are extracted from his posts”.
