Introduction

Sathanur Ekambareswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Sathanur village, Koothanallur taluk, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Sathanur is located on the south bank of Vennar River. On the road leading south from the bridge is a Shiva temple on the banks of a large pond. This 800 Years old temple, a single lingam has been carved into a temple. To the east of the temple, there is Lord Ekambereswarar as Periyalinga Murthy. Opposite is small Nandi. There are no other deities in the temple.
