Introduction

Yellakonda Village is located nearly 57 km from the district headquarters of Hyderabad via Shankarpalli road and is well accessible by road. This old Sivalayam is located in Yellakonda Village, Nawabpet Mandal in Vikarabad District. The temple is dedicated to Lord Siva and consort parvath, was built during the Kakatiya period consisting of garbhagriha, antarala, and mandapa enclosed by rectangular Kakshasana. The ceilings of mandapa are carved with Astadikpalakas. A beautiful seven hooded Nagini sculpture is kept in front of the temple. This Sivalayam completely ruins.
