Introduction
The Prasat Ban Prasat is an ancient Khmer sanctuary in Thailand near Huai Thap Tan in Sisaket Province .This temple is dedicated to Shiva , it was built between the middle of the 10TH century and the middle of the 11TH century . A mix of historical ancient temple ruins and a modern Buddhist temple is located near to the temple. Prasat Ban Prasat is three brick towers inside laterite walls on the grounds of a modern Thai wat. This was originally a small Khmer temple from the late Angkor period. It comprises three brick on laterite base in north-south direction standing in the laterite walls with arch gates. Assumed from the art style of the lintel, these Khmer Ruins may have been built in the 11th century blending the art styles of Khlang and Bapuan, before being adapted later. Although originally built to honor Shiva, the towers were reconfigured between 1558 and 1657 by Laotian Buddhist monarchs who rebuilt the towers in a style similar to Si Khoraphum Temple in Surin and nearby Ban Muang Chan, located just 8.6 kilometers north by road..
