Introduction

Sri Kaleeswari Temple is dedicated to Goddess Sri Kaleeswari devi, Located in Kottiyoor – Wayanad (District) on Kattikulam Thirunelli Road. It is a very beautiful 2000 years old temple in the Jungle, a little away from the road side. On the way from Kattikulam to Thirunelli Temple, you can see the name board on the left side of the road. The temple is simple structure used as a resting place for the cow and other animals. This ancient temple is in ruins state. The temple is located in a serene dense forest which is now declared as a Wild Life Sanctuary by Government of Kerala. It is located at a distance of 16 Km from Mananthavati and 10 km from Thirunelli Temple. This temple is also called as Thirunelli Road temple.
