Vikracholamangalam Marudhodhaya Eswaramudaiyar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Vikracholamangalam, Madurai district, Tamil Nadu. A beautiful stone temple facing east, there is a huge Theppakulam in front of the temple. Here the Presiding deity is called as Marudhodhaya Eswaramudaiyar and Mother is called as Sivanesavalliambal. Pass through the entrance, the grand hall has beautiful pillars. On the right side of the Lord is Vinayaka and on the left is Murugan. The circular Sivalingam in a square-shaped is one of the best here. To the south of this temple, a separate shrine has been set up for Lord Shiva. When the temple was destroyed in the 14th century by foreign invaders, only the foundation remains. Thus, there is an Ambal in the posture facing south in the Mahamandapam. In the koshta there are lingo, Brahma and Dakshinamurti. As this temple is located in a rural area outside Madurai, not many people know about the existence of such a temple.
