Introduction
Vanduvanchery Parangirinathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Vanduvanchery village, Kumbakonam circle, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. This Vanduvanchery is at a distance of 2 km beyond Nachiyarkoil on the Kumbakonam – Kudavasal road. On the left side of the road, there are temples called Iyanar Mari in a patch of land. This Shiva temple is in a tin shed. Lord Parangirinath is looking towards the east and the glory of this Shiva is unknown. In the centre of the shed is a Shiva lingam on a platform with Ganesha and Murugan on either side. Opposite Nandi Altar and behind one side Ambika is small. Servant someone is doing eternal puja. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
