Deity: The temple is dedicated to Angala Parameshwari, a form of the Adi Shakti goddess.

Puranic Significance:
- Four devotees from Mysore set out to build a temple for Angala Parameshwari.
- They carried the idol of the goddess from Malayanur and soil from her power spot.
- On their way to Mysore, they stopped at Komarapalayam in Sathyamangalam for Sandhya Vandanam by the Bhavani River.
- The idol became immovable at that spot, which led the devotees to understand that the goddess had chosen the location for her temple.
- A small temple was built at this spot where the idol was enshrined.

- Vasantha Mandapam: Features a procession of decorative pillars with a Kanni corner and Ganesha Sannidhi.
