Introduction

Thiruvareswarar Shiva Temple is dedicated to God Shiva located at Sathurangapatnam Village near Kalpakkam town in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. It is a 1000 years old temple. Sadras is a fortress town located on India’s Coromandel Coast in Kanchipuram District, 70 km south of Chennai in Tamilnadu state. Sadras is the anglicized form of the ancient town of Saduranga pattinam. Here the presiding deity is called as Thiruvareswarar other deities are Murugan, Ganesha, Dhakshinamoorthy.
