Introduction

                Pillali Soundareswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Pillali village, Nagai circle, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. The ruins of a 1000-year-old magnificent Shiva temple at Pillali village. Here the Presiding deity is called as Soundareswarar and Mother is called as Soundara Nayaki. The people of this place left it to decay without knowing the superiority of Shiva worship. Completely destroyed, only a few walls of the sanctum remain. All the idols from here have taken refuge in the nearby Vinayagar temple. Goddess Soundara Nayaki Lord Soundareswarar Swami, Ambal, Nandi, Sandesar are in a strip shed.
