  • From Koothanallur, take the road leading to Vadapadimangalam. Continue until you reach the Kiliyanur stop, then cross the Vennar River to find the temple located by the roadside.
• Temple Orientation: The temple is east-facing and spans approximately 10 cm wide.
• Presiding Deity: Lord Vishwanath
• Consort: Goddess Vishalakshi

Puranic Significance

• Age: The temple is believed to be over 1000 years old.
• Architecture:
  • The temple does not have a tower (Shikhara) at the facade but features a mandapam (hall) in front.
  • A small Nandimandapam (Nandi hall) is situated outside the mandapam.
  • The sanctum sanctorum is south-facing, housing a medium-sized Shivalinga of Lord Vishwanath.
• Deities and Shrines:
  • Tenmugan is present in the Karurai Kotham (hall).
  • Vinayaka has a small shrine in the southern part of the temple.
  • A large-scale Murugan sanctum is located on the north side of the temple.
  • There are separate sanctums for Mahalakshmi and Ayyappan.
• Temple Pond: A large pond lies to the south of the temple, enhancing the serene ambiance.
