Introduction
Varadaraja Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Kanipakam Village near Chittoor City in Andhra Pradesh, India. The Temple is situated very close to Kanipakam Vinayagar Temple.
Puranic Significance
The temple was constructed in the early 11th century CE by the Chola Emperor Kulothunga Chola I and was expanded further in 1336 by the Kings of Vijayanagara dynasty.
It is believed that the idol will be growing in size until the end of Kaliyuga and then Sri Vinayaka will appear in person. The well from where Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka manifested is still exist in the temple. The holy water from the well is distributed among the devotees as prasadam in this temple. The regal Kanipakam temple has immense religious significance and importance because of its miraculous idol. The water found in the complex is believed to be holy and can cure various deformities. Pilgrims visit this temple before going to Tirupati since it is a Vinayaka Temple.

People believe that if newly married couples perform Satyanarayana Vrata in this temple their life will be happy.
