Introduction

Kadalangudi Vishwanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Kadalangudi village, Kudavasal circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Kadalangudi is a small village with two temples. Here the Primary deity is called as Vishwanath and Mother is called as Vishalakshi.

Puranic Significance 

The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old. This temple is located on the main road of the city. The east facing one is opposite a primary school, with Lord Vishwanath facing east and Vishalakshi facing south side of the sanctum. There is a front hall connecting the two sanctums in which are Nandi and Altar. There are sanctums dedicated to Vinayagar Murugan in Prakaram. Navagrahas are in the northeast. A new Anjaneyar shrine has been built outside the temple.
