Introduction

Sri Madduramma Temple, located in Huskur (Anekal Taluk) in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, is a temple dedicated to the Madduramma, and the temple is built during the Chola period. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.

Puranic Significance

very year the Grand festival is celebrated during March or April month. This small temple is very famous in this region. Goddess Madduramma is a manifestation of mother Goddess that is worshipped in South India, especially in Karnataka. She protects people from all forms of dangers and ushers in peace and prosperity. She is village deity and personal God of many families in Karnataka. During this temple festival, the drawn chariot is set up in a very different way, grandly and in a way that amazes everyone. The chariot of this temple looks like a multi-storied, tall building structure. At a height of about 120 feet, this chariot looks spectacular, with about 20 decks. During this temple chariot festival, some other huge chariots will also be coming around the city.
