Introduction

Shiva Temple No VIII is dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Bhubaneswar, the state capital of Odisha, India. The temple was constructed in 10th century CE by Somavamsis. The temple is facing towards west and stands over a raised platform. The temple consists of a rekha vimana and square on plan. The sanctum enshrines a Shiva Linga within a circular yonipitha.
