Introduction
Akkaraivattam Lakshminarayanar Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the Akkaraivattam village, Karaikal district, Tamil Nadu. On the road from Karaikal to Nagore, after crossing the royal bridge two kilometres away, there is a small road that turns to the left. This temple is located on the east bank of the big lake. This temple is one of the 108 temples built by King Thirumalairayan.
The temple, which was once magnificently illuminated, is now in a dilapidated condition. The stones surrounding the temple are scattered. The tree has grown inside the temple wall and damaged the temple. The idols are in the open mandapam without a roof. Only the sanctum remains today. In it, Lakshminarayan is blessed with grace. Let us pray to the Lord that this temple, which is ruined by the change of time, will soon be restored. The Temple is believed to be 500 years old.
